We regret will NOT be going ahead this year

The Gems for life - ride for hope run, we regret will not be going ahead this year.

Lorna our team leader has suffered a very serious illness and we can can't run this ride without her.

We always look forward to the run and meeting new people, seeing everyone's amazing wheels!

But at this stage Lorna is lucky to be alive and needs time to recover, we have decided to let it go this year.

We will run the ride next year, so will let everyone know when we have a date.

Frank-Kitts Park - Otaihanga Park
10am registration ($5) 11am Riding

This ride is a nice day out on the bike or in your car (cars welcome too). We start at Frank-Kitts Park, Wellington and normally stop once or twice on the trip, and ending at Otaihunga near Paraparaumu, where we have a BBQ and social time. We have had good feed back in the past two years that we have put this ride on, we’d love to see you there.

What an exciting time, this is our 3rd year on this ride.
Our ride is in memory of those that have taken their lives, especially in our youth, we ride as one New Zealand letting people know we care about them and we all come from all walks of life.
There are many reasons why people take their own life from abuse to stress to pressure.
We have all sorts of motorcycles, hot rods joining the ride.
We are reaching out to other clubs as it was mentioned to us that other clubs would like to join this ride if they knew on an early onset.
The reason this ride has started 3 years ago I lost my brother by suicide. It devastated me, then I realised I was able to do something about it, by making people aware that our suicide rate is higher than the road toll.

Its on again!!!

Team Leader Lorna Nielsen and PMC ( Plimmerton Motorcycle Club) organized a bike rally in memory of all those that have taken their lives. It was a huge success with members from PMC and people belonging to Kiwi biker and hot rod clubs came along we are under the understanding there has never been a rally like this before. It was great to see all form of bikes and cars come together as one. We decided to build this site of pics etc for all those that want to know more or buy prints.
